ESAD at Brenntag GmbH

Starting with assessments according to ESAD I in 2003, Brenntag GmbH repeated the assessments in Feb. 2009 successfully for the second time with an external auditor (in the meantime according to ESAD II). Every three years the assessments are regularly repeated.

ESAD (European Single Assessment Document) is a standardised questionnaire which was developed from the Responsible Care programme. The questions deal with requirements concerning safety, health and the environment. ESAD overlaps with the quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and the Responsible Care programme of the VCH. The aim by standardising this questionnaire was to create a comparable guideline so that not every supplier has to perform his own audit.

 

Suppliers are more likely to ask for ESAD than customers.
